The RAM 1500 TRX is not designed to blend in. Its key should not be ordinary either.

Handcrafted from solid metal and individually finished by skilled artisans, the Ignis Argentum RAM TRX Key Case transforms the factory smart key into a substantial piece of functional metalwork. Its sculpted surfaces, engraved details, and hand-applied aged finish reflect the aggressive character of the TRX while retaining the full functionality of the original key.

This is not a thin decorative cover. It is a completely redesigned outer shell engineered around the factory RAM smart key.

 

Available Materials

Sterling Silver 925

Crafted from genuine 925 sterling silver for a brighter tone, refined weight, and naturally evolving patina.

Each sterling silver case is individually polished and lightly oxidized by hand. Recessed areas are darkened to emphasize the engraved details, while raised surfaces are polished to create contrast and depth.

Over time, the silver will develop a unique patina shaped by the way it is carried and handled.

Nickel Silver

A durable silver-toned alloy selected for its strength, weight, and ability to reproduce detailed relief engraving.

Nickel silver offers the same sculptural appearance and substantial feel at a more accessible price point. It does not contain sterling silver and has a slightly warmer metallic tone.

Designed Around the Original Key

The internal structure is engineered to house the original electronic module from your factory RAM key.

Once installed, the original circuit board, battery, and key functions remain in use. The metal case replaces the standard factory exterior while preserving the everyday operation of the smart key.

Depending on the specific key version, the original emergency blade and internal components may also be transferred into the new shell.

 

Keyless Entry and Signal Performance

The case is designed to allow the original smart-key system to function normally after installation.

Keyless entry, remote locking, remote unlocking, and push-button start remain available when the key components are correctly installed.

Because signal strength can also be affected by battery condition, vehicle specification, surrounding interference, and regional key frequencies, we recommend installing a fresh key battery during assembly.

 

Hand-Finished Character

Every key case is completed individually rather than produced as a perfectly uniform mass-market accessory.

Small differences in oxidation, polishing, engraving depth, surface texture, and edge finishing are natural characteristics of handmade metalwork. These variations are not defects. They are part of what gives each piece its individual character.

Light surface marks may gradually appear through daily use, creating a personal worn-in finish similar to traditional silver jewelry, mechanical watches, and vintage metal accessories.

RAM has used different key designs across model years, markets, and trim levels. Vehicle model alone is not sufficient to confirm compatibility.

Before ordering, please send us clear photographs of the front and back of your current key if you are uncertain.

 

Installation

Installation requires transferring the electronic components from your original key into the Ignis Argentum metal shell.

Professional installation is recommended, especially if you are unfamiliar with opening automotive smart keys.

No vehicle programming is normally required when the original circuit board is reused. However, incorrect installation may damage the circuit board, buttons, battery contacts, emergency blade, or internal components.
